Terms and Conditions in New Zealand (FIT)

Terms and Conditions for Pacific Travel Planners Applicable to Services in New Zealand for Individual Passengers (Not Applicable to Groups)

Rates:

All service prices in New Zealand are net in New Zealand dollars (NZD).

All prices are valid at the time of quotation/confirmation.

Although every effort has been made to ensure the information in the quotation is correct, prices and information are subject to change at any time without prior notice and subject to any modifications imposed on us by our suppliers.

Bus and transport operators (including cruise operators) reserve the right to approve fare increases due to fluctuations in fuel prices and/or the introduction of new costs; for example: tolls, taxes, and special fees.

The GST (Goods and Services Tax – VAT) is currently 15% and has been included in all prices.

Should the federal, state, or local government introduce new taxes or alter the existing GST, we reserve the right to adjust our prices accordingly. Special cancellation terms and conditions may apply to some products, such as extended tours, long cruises, trains, island stays, etc. We will inform you of the special terms and conditions at the time of confirmation.

Accommodation:

Extra charges and special conditions (such as minimum stay or cancellation policies) will apply during special events such as: New Year’s Eve, sporting events, major international conferences, holidays, etc. Please note that the dates for special events are often indicative and may vary from hotel to hotel. These dates can also be altered due to special events, in which case many hotels opt to ‘block’ two or more provisional dates until the event is officially announced.

Bonus offers are valid within the established timeframe.

Offers are not cumulative or combinable unless specified.

Check-in / Check-out: Check-in at hotels is approximately at 14:00 hours, except in rooms where ‘early check-in’ has been contracted. The check-out time is approximately at 10:00 hours, unless an additional cost for ‘late check-out’ service is paid.

Triple rooms: Most properties in New Zealand apply the ‘rollaway’ in triple rooms at an extra cost per room.

Tours, Transfers, and Activities:

Some tours only depart with a minimum number of passengers and only on certain days of the week.

If you have some tours booked, it is the passenger’s responsibility to be on time at the designated place for departure.

A ‘no-show’ will result in a 100% charge of the fare when passengers miss their trip due to their responsibility.

Pacific Travel Planners will not be responsible for costs incurred due to flight delays or clients detained at customs.

Companies responsible for transfers have a maximum waiting period after the arrival of international flights.

Pacific Travel Planners cannot cover the cost of delays, waiting times, or itinerary changes due to bad weather. In such cases, services will be charged again to clients and/or agents.

Additional costs generated by itinerary changes outside the control of Pacific Travel Planners (e.g., delays of planes or trains, canceled services, loss of luggage, etc.) will be charged to the client and/or agent.

Liability:

Pacific Travel Planners acts only as a booking agent or intermediary for the operators providing the services mentioned in our itineraries and travel documents, not as a principal.

Pacific Travel Planners will not be liable for any injury, damage, loss, accidents, delays, or irregularities that occur to any person or property during any trip, tour, activity, or establishment, or the use of any of the services or facilities booked by or through Pacific Travel Planners.

It is the responsibility of your clients/passengers to have the correct and valid travel documentation. Pacific Travel Planners does not provide official information about visa requirements or documentation.

New Zealand is prone to seasonal natural disasters such as earthquakes, cyclones, or wildfires. It is the responsibility of you and your clients to monitor the possibility of storms or fires and their progress once they have started.

Pacific Travel Planners will not be obliged to provide any compensation when modifications or cancellations are made for reasons of force majeure or acts of God (war, terrorism, state of siege, natural or nuclear disasters, epidemics, quarantines, customs or medical regulations, fires, labor disputes or strikes, etc.).

There will also be no liability on the part of Pacific Travel Planners for problems arising from technical failures, delays, or cancellations of flights, or for changes in travel due to health or safety reasons of the clients/passengers.

Pacific Travel Planners recommends travel insurance for its clients. Pacific Travel Planners is a New Zealand company, and any legal action related to the services provided will be conducted exclusively under the prevailing legal jurisdiction in New Zealand.
